GalaxyCore has introduced the GC20C3, a new 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor designed to deliver improved low-light sensitivity and noise control in high-temperature environments. Targeting smart city devices, IoT cameras, and dashcams, the sensor provides a stable imaging foundation to enhance recognition accuracy and image quality.
Utilizing GalaxyCore's proprietary FPPI technology, the GC20C3 optimizes pixel structure and circuit design, significantly reducing noise and improving performance under low illumination. Even at 80°C, the sensor maintains excellent dark current performance, outperforming some competing sensors with larger pixel sizes.
The GC20C3 integrates a 10-bit ADC and ISP, supports two-wire serial programming, and reduces power consumption by 30% compared to previous generations. It also features fast wake-up and low-power operation, making it suitable for battery-powered scenarios.
Housed in a 35-pin package, the sensor allows easy integration and quick upgrades within existing hardware platforms. By balancing performance, power efficiency, and cost, the GC20C3 enables customers to develop more competitive camera modules for the evolving smart IoT market.
