Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its AEC-Q200 qualified CHA series of thin film chip resistors with the new CHA0402 component in a 0402 case size. The resistor maintains stable performance up to 50 GHz, with a resistance range of 10 Ω to 500 Ω, making it suitable for high-frequency applications including automotive ADAS, 5G/6G communications, medical imaging, and aerospace.
The CHA0402 offers a rated power of 300 mW at +70°C, with a temperature coefficient of ±100 ppm/°C (optionally available at ±50 ppm/°C) and a maximum limiting voltage of 37 V. The series demonstrates high-frequency stability even under stringent AEC-Q200 testing, with a flat Z/R curve indicating nearly pure resistive behavior.
To accelerate product development, Vishay provides simulation resources including Ansys HFSS 3D models, Modellithics Microwave Global Models, and S-parameter data. The resistors are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and available in tape-and-reel packaging, offering a reliable solution for high-frequency circuit design.
