Shanghai, China – April 29, 2026 – SmartSens (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 688213) recently announced the launch of two high-performance CMOS image sensors for intelligent security applications: the SC2338V (2MP) and SC4338V (4MP). Built on SmartSens’ DSTM-3 process technology and featuring SmartAOV™ 2.1 technology, the new sensors support Always-On Video (AOV) functionality, meeting the 24/7 stable capture requirements of wireless battery-powered cameras, 4G solar monitoring, and other devices.
The SmartAOV™ 2.1 technology enables the sensors to record continuously at 30fps when an event is triggered, and switch to lowpower 1fps recording when no event occurs. It also accelerates configuration switching under sudden ambient light changes, significantly reducing operating power consumption and enabling 7×24 hours of continuous, stable video capture. Both products incorporate InSensor HDR™ technology, delivering dynamic ranges of 76.7dB (SC2338V) and 77.3dB (SC4338V). With support for multiple gain ratios, they effectively suppress motion artifacts and output clear, smearfree highdynamicrange images. Leveraging SFCPixel® and ultralownoise peripheral readout circuits, read noise is as low as 0.74e- (SC2338V) and 0.82e- (SC4338V), providing excellent lowlight image detail. The SC2338V balances cost and performance, making it ideal for multicamera coordination; the SC4338V offers 4MP resolution to meet the mainstream image quality requirements of security applications.
