WPG Holdings' Youshang Group has introduced a synchronous buck converter solution based on Monolithic Power Systems' (MPS) MPQ8633A chip, targeting the high-efficiency and high-reliability power requirements of 5G communications, data centers, and IoT devices.

The MPQ8633A, a high-frequency synchronous buck converter, supports a wide input voltage range and delivers up to 12A output current. Utilizing constant on-time (COT) control mode, it provides fast transient response with configurable switching frequencies of 600kHz, 800kHz, or 1000kHz. The chip integrates soft-start control, power-good signaling, and comprehensive protection features including over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature protection. Its compact QFN package (3mm×4mm) effectively saves PCB space.

By leveraging optimized design and highly integrated components, this solution significantly enhances the power efficiency and reliability of communication equipment, providing an advanced power solution for next-generation communication infrastructure.
