MALVERN, Pa., USA – April 15, 2026 – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the launch of a new space-grade surface-mount common mode choke, the SGCM05339, designed for electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering and noise suppression in demanding aerospace applications.
The SGCM05339 features a compact, rugged nanocrystalline core with an overmolded construction, making it ideal for GaN and SiC switching applications where sharp-edged waveforms can cause radiated EMI. The choke is also suitable for low-current off-line power supplies, DC/DC converters in distributed power systems, and solar panel power converters.
The device offers spreadspectrum high impedance and supports a temperature rise current of up to 14.43 A, with a continuous operating temperature range of -55 °C to +130 °C. The SGCM05339 complies with multiple stringent standards, including ASTM-E595, MIL-PRF-27 (Grade 5, Product Level T, Temperature Class S), MIL-STD-981 (Family-4, Class S), and IEEE-INST-002. It provides a dielectric withstand voltage of 1000 VRMS and an insulation resistance of 500 VDC. The choke can be customized in terms of turns, wire gauge, and other parameters to meet specific application requirements.
